BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH BUILDING,
CSU DOMINGUEZ HILLS

Paul Murdoch Architects worked with laboratory planning consultant, Design for Science, to produce a building program and conceptual design for a new, three-story 35,500 square foot building. The programming process involved participatory workshops with campus administration and faculty to define the scientific and academic mission of the building and validate specific functional requirements. The $20 million facility is to provide teaching of biology and chemistry in a research environment and will include wet and dry research laboratories, seminar rooms, computational biology lab, faculty offices, and a vivarium.
