UCLA PLANT GROWTH CENTER

The new two-story building, for research of plant physiology and nutraceutical genetics, features the most advanced greenhouse research facility in North America. Located in the northeast corner of UCLA’s acclaimed Mildred Mathias Botanical Gardens, the design must be sensitive to its garden setting, as well as to the edge of campus and adjacent buildings. The building is comprised of support spaces in a concrete masonry base below the second floor glass-enclosed greenhouses.
