CITYWIDE SUSTAINABLE BUILDING TASKFORCE

In 1996, the Los Angeles City Council initiated a taskforce, comprised of both public and private sector participants, with the mission to find ways to promote sustainable building and development practices in the City.

As a founding member, Paul helped design its organization and develop the Sustainable Design Guidelines; a reference manual to educate city staff and stakeholders about how to implement sustainable design practices in City-owned, leased or private building projects. For his contributions to the taskforce, in 1998 Paul received a Certificate of Recognition from the Los Angeles Board of Public Works.
