Venture Capital Office Headquarters

The new headquarters in Silicon Valley is for a venture capital firm that incubates start-up, green technology companies. Demountable walls and adaptable technology infrastructure are provided to allow easy re-configuration of space as the needs of growing young companies evolve. Wood screens and trellises shade the glass box thereby allowing transparent interior views of roof gardens while improving energy performance.

The building is made of pre-fabricated steel modular construction and building components to reduce on-site activity on the tight, infill lot and the corresponding disruption to surrounding neighbors.

What a great building! It turns the corner from what could have been a typically corporate and monotonous office space into a surprisingly refreshing environment with drama.
