Paul Murdoch Named to the AIA College of Fellows

Paul Murdoch has been selected for elevation into the College of Fellows by the American Institute of Architects. The Fellow, or FAIA designation, recognizes individuals' significant contributions to the profession and society, and their architectural excellence. Only about 3% of AIA members have achieved this designation.

As one of only 97 US architects selected, Murdoch's broad portfolio of nationally recognized, community-centric designs that restore and promote emotional health and social well-being stood out to the jury. His use of regenerative environmental solutions that promote resilience and climate justice also were a factor in his selection. Notable projects include the Flight 93 National Memorial, the event center at the Earvin “Magic” Johnson Recreation Area and a master plan for the Gross National Happiness Center in Bhutan.

Paul along with his 2024 classmates will be inducted at the AIA Fellows Investiture held June 6th at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C.
